6. Refund and Withdrawal Policy

PageLightBooks extends the statutory 14-day withdrawal right to a total of 30 days from purchase. The first 14 days follow applicable consumer-withdrawal laws; for days 15 through 30 we may decline the refund if you do not provide valid information in support of your request, and the outcome remains at our sole discretion. When you choose immediate access to digital content, you acknowledge that the statutory 14-day withdrawal right may cease once the download starts; nevertheless, we still evaluate refund requests made within 30 days under this policy. Any approved refund is processed according to the timelines of the relevant payment provider (typically 5 to 10 business days).

• Refunds for ebooks may be refused if the file has already been downloaded or otherwise consumed, even partially, in a meaningful way.
• Refunds for printed books purchased through Amazon are subject to Amazon’s return policy.

7. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our products or services, nor for technical interruptions, errors, or unavailability of the website. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate accounts and/or restrict site access in case of violations of these Terms, misuse, fraudulent activity, or security concerns.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you habitually reside. Any dispute arising from the use of this website shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Chiasso, Switzerland, without prejudice to consumer rights granted by applicable law.

11. Definitions

Printing is allowed only for personal use. We may apply digital watermarks or other technical protection measures; bypassing or removing them is prohibited.

13. Updates and Compliance

14. Account Suspension and Closure

We may suspend or close the Account, with notice when reasonably possible, in case of serious or repeated violations of the Terms, fraud, security issues, or legal obligations. Users can contact us for clarifications or complaints. Account closure does not affect licenses already granted for purchased ebooks, although online access may be removed in the event of abuse.
